the game of basketball

Since I first picked up a basketball in the mid-eighties, the game has been evolving consistently. I strongly believe the sport will continue to change and require constant improvement in training tactics. In order to reach their full potential and achieve strong results, athletes will need to commit to targeted training. I remember when the center would only play with his back against the basket, the forward on the wings, shooter and point guard at the top of the key, and the guards were forbidden to go into the paint.

As the years passed by, we’ve seen countless changes in the NBA. The disappearance of the big three concept, and now all five players can shoot from the three-point line. Today point guards can finish a basket in the paint and all players on the floor can take defenders off the dribble. Basketball will continue to change and athletes will need to continue to improve their skills through effective and consistent training. I’m excited to be part of the process to help athletes claim their spot in the game.

Donovan’s knowledge of the core skills and passion for the game speaks for itself. Always challenging himself and others to improve their game. Strongly recommend his expertise for anyone looking to master ball handling skills!
